Obtaining a black belt is a goal that we implement into students from when they begin their training. On average, it takes 3-4 years for students to get their first degree black belt.  After, students continue to train to earn their 2nd degree, 3rd degree, etc. Within our studio, black belts have the duty of being leaders, role models, and great martial artists to lead the next level of students. Many of which are given the opportunity to instruct the lower belts to help improve their leadership skills,

Process to earn a black belt

In order to earn a black belt, students must first become a bo-dan belt. While students have a bo-dan belt, they will continue to practice in order to get ready for their black belt test. Bo-dan belts go through 3 tests before they are qualified for the black belt test.  After they complete the 3 tests, they must pass a physical training test in order to qualify for a black belt test.
